Points Count... Crap!
Okay, so this is what I ate today so far (as of 5:24 p.m. today):
Slimfast Shake - 6 points (because I use more milk because it is way too sweet - I may be over-estimating)
Teriyaki Rice Bowl - 11 points (lots of veggies and 1/2 the teriyaki sauce so it might be lower, but again I would rather over-estimate)
Chicken Finger - 4 points
Pizza slice - 6 points (may be as low as 4 but better safe than sorry)
peanuts - 4 points (and that's a 1/4 of a cup)
Carrots - 0 points
Grand Total = 31 points --> That's all she wrote.
It sure didn't feel like much. This is why I hate counting points. I really don't feel like it is a lot of food, but a few bad (or worse) choices and you are screwed. I hope I can last to bedtime on water and chewing gum.

What I meant to say was that I find that if I eat a lot of veggies throughout the day I always have points left over after dinner. That helps me a lot.
Another thing I try to focus on is having a really filling breakfast: fruit, oatmeal, skim milk, egg whites etc. I've never tried slim fast. Do you find that it fills you up? 6 points seems like a lot if it doesn't...
Am I new to WW? No. I have been off and on for the last 6 years. I am in need of serious motivation and I (for some unknown reason to me) am resisting counting. I got the exercise and the water down, but managing my food remains my big challenge.
Slimfast does do pretty good for me. I am not a big breakfast eater so if I do the slimfast thing I get the protein and fibre and calcium and I actually fidn I have sustained energy until lunch. I may be off with the point count on that, but I know I use more milk than they recommend so I like to be diligent if I am counting. I usually do the slimfast thing or I have the new weight control oatmeal and a glass of milk. Either one keeps me from snacking in the A.M. I do my 'best' snacking in the afternoon and evening.
i hope you can find your motivation Kristen. I've just started back on the plan because my weight has crept back up to a point where I'm uncomfortable, and it's so far so good, but I know I need to be diligent.
