The cast: Brent Gamalinda Macdonald, Emmy Whitehead (who was last seen in Dogfight with the company - gorgeous voice, as I recall!), John Avila, Jordan Melnyk, Kendra Humphrey (the luminous Kendra - she was in Light in the Piazza at Walterdale and was such a joy to direct!), Meredith Watt, Patrick Lynn, Quinn Yerex, Sarah Veale, Tana Bumhira
The crew: Linette J Smith - director/choreo (As many of you know, Linette is an Edmonton theatre icon - she's directed me three times [Steel Magnolias, Cinderella, and Little Women] and always creates fabulous art onstage), Julie Sucie MD (also plays cello for the show and her kindness and talents are well-known!), Hails Quinn - SM, Lyn Reade - Sound, Keira Roberts - Lights, Jordan Gozjolko - Props
Why Should you see this show? What's in it for You? In a time of unrest, and darkness the power of imagination is everything. During the darkest times the most amazing art is created and new art forms - Alice is a response to that. It's a cool show living between the blitz in London and the imagination of someone trying to understand death and grief.
The SATCO Shows are always highlights of the Fringe for me! From Xanadu, to Ride the Cyclone to Hedwig and the Angry Inch this company pushes boundaries and does excellent work!
